Pre-Solicitation Notice – W912DQ23R4002



Repair of Trainee Barracks B1012 & 1013 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.



The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Kansas City District intends to issue a full and open unrestricted Design-Bid-Build solicitation for a single Firm Fixed-Price, construction contract for repair of Trainee Barracks B1012 & 1013 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.



The solicitation is expected to be available on or about June 24, 2023, on the Federal website at SAM.gov. A tentative site visit is scheduled for late June.



Requirement is to perform repairs and convert existing failing trainee barracks building to such a condition that it may be effectively used for its current functional purpose as advanced individual training (AIT) barracks. Project abates hazardous materials and repairs by replacement of the exterior windows, doors and walls to meet ATFP requirements. It repairs walls, floors and structure to meet progressive collapse and seismic requirements. Repairs building exterior and repairs the roof by replacement, along with repair and repair by replacement of interior doors, hardware, walls, floors and ceilings. Repair by replacement failing control systems, boilers, hot and cold water piping, ventilation ducts, and heating and air conditioning. Repair by replacement of the fixtures, piping, domestic water and drainage systems within the 5 foot line of the facility. Repair by replacement of the electrical systems by replacing the existing service entrance, lighting and emergency lighting, wiring and conduits, receptacles, fire and internal alarm systems. Repair by replacement of halls and travel distances to exit the building and meet life safety code requirements. Repair and abate presence of mold and hazardous materials. A fire sprinkler system will be added to the facility in conjunction with the overall repair of the facility according to NFPA 101 and AR 420-1.



The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220, (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction).



The estimated magnitude of this project between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000.



The estimated performance period for completion of construction is 600 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP).
